Egeria najas is a good plant for beginners, and its rapid growth helps create a balance in the aquarium from the start. It can also help prevent algae because it absorbs a great number of nutrients from the water. The plant secretes antibiotic substances which can help prevent blue-green algae (a type of bacteria). The growth rate depends largely on the amount of light and nutrition available. Growth does not stop in unfavorable conditions, but the plant turns light in color and the tendrils grow thin.

This anacharis is very nice looking. It's delicacy works well in a smaller tank where the densa is a bit to large looking. They are both great aquarium plants though.
Everything was packaged well and shipped on time.

Fast, super fast growth
This is absolutely amazing at how fast this stuff grows. I have a low-tech tank (no CO2) and I am already pruning and re-planting my own shoots at three weeks. Stuff came at approximately 5"-6" stems (alot of them) and I planted throughout the back of the tank. The more light and calmer water areas seem to produce the best, but all have grown. In a week, I had one stem clear to the top of the tank (20"). I am amazed. Very beautiful green background. The shoots I am placing in various spots, but I am now setting up a separate 20 gallon tank that will be my nursery for the future planted tanks I am building. Amazing quality and super fast growth.

Wow does this stuff grow
I put 3 bunches of this in my 125g tank, and it has just gone crazy. Some is rooted, but a lot is floating, and it looks great! Love the smaller leaf variety.

Grew Immediately
I just set up a new dirtied 36 gal tank and ordered several plants to fill it. The Anacharis was the first plant to show growth, in just a matter of a couple days. It's been less than two weeks and I already have to trim it. I just have 48w of T5 HO bulbs. I totally recommend this plant.

great plant
I love these plants. The shipment showed up on time and in great condition. My plants have doubled in size in just one month, plus they root themselves not only from the bottom, but they drop roots in the middle for extra security!

Wonderful
While the regular leaf never did very well in my aquarium (seems to need more light), the narrow leaf is thriving from the first day and making shooting vertical thin roots from all over the plant. It also look very nice and my micro-pellets for fish hang to it for the fish to eat (instead of getting lost on the bottom). Love the delicate bright green leaves, looks awesome. I am also using 2.5mL of Seachem Flourish per week because I have a heavily planted 20G aquarium.
