Blyxia japonica stays nice and small, compared to its cousin Blyxia aubertii, and can be used in the foreground or midground area of the planted aquarium. Arrived very tattered and without roots and I didn't think it would survive, but it has been three weeks and it has made a heck of a comeback. It rooted itself solid, the new leaves have an orange hue and it sends out flower stalks all the time. One of the plants actually grew a daughter plant which I separated and replanted in another aquarium. Does not grow very tall under high light and the growth is also compact. Very happy with this one.
