If you're starting a tank , this is a great plant to choose...Fast growing and it soaks up any excess nutrients which can be a problem in new tanks...

    Fast and easy.

I've found this to be a hardy, undemanding, fast growing plant. I give it high light and CO2, but it will also grow well in moderate lighting in low-tech setups. Will grow out of the tank and produce purple flowers if left untrimmed. Top-most leaves fill in to give good shading to lower light plants below. Needs a BIG tank!
