    Im not sure why, but the plant in this picturelooks like it has no color and im assuming it's the camera. this plant is a really nice green and grows REALLY fast. it's not demanding at all, just needs good lighting. i like the fact that i can cut it and replant the trimmings and they will grow roots in a mater of days and start growing fast :)

    I have a large planted tank with metal halide lighting and an automated CO2 system, hard water, pH of 7.5 (dropped to 6.9 with CO2 supplementation), temp about 82. Mayaca fluviatis is doing quite well, despite the warm temperature

    Fast growing!

    Within a few weeks, this plant was growing and within a month was reaching the top of my 36 gallon tank. Very nice plant.
