Baby Tears (Hemianthus micranthemoides)

 

Also known as Pearlweed. 

 

A beautiful plant with small round leaves. It is suitable for small or large aquariums. Relatively demanding in terms of light. CO2 addition a plus to promote growth. Heminathus micranthemoides is a spreading plant native to North America. If planted densely, Hemianthus micranthemoides will grow upright in the aquarium. If planted loosely, Hemianthus micranthemoides will grow in a spreading fashion. The amount of light can also influence the growth of Baby Tears. The higher the light the more likely it is to spread.
