Cryptocoryne lucens clump is another hardy plant that is slow growing and easy to maintain. It will grow under a wide variety of lighting conditions. Like all Cryptocorynes, it is beginner friendly and makes a great addition to any aquascape. Cryptocoryne Lucens clump or as most aquarist refer to as Crypt Lucens for short, have bright green elongated leaves around 1/2 inch to 1 inch long. The stems can grow to about 6 inches depending on your lighting.

The typical habitats of Cryptocoryne are mostly streams and rivers with not too rapidly flowing water, in the lowland forest so they will do best in an aquarium that doesn’t have high flowing filtration. At AquariumPlants.com, we grow our Cryptocoryne Lucens clump fully submerged, so Crypt melt is usually not an issue.

All Crypts are heavy root feeders, meaning they prefer to take in nutrients through the roots over their leaves in the water column. This is why we suggest using a substrate fertilizer or commonly known as root tabs. CO2 injection is not necessary with Crypts, but as with all aquatic plants, can benefit from it.

You will receive about 5 to 7 plants growing together in a clump which can be broken apart and planted separately or planted as one clump. Cryptocoryne – Wikipedia
