Amazon Sword (Echinodorus bleheri) is a large, beautiful bright green. Needs a rich substrate (root nutrients). This plant is undemanding and beautiful. A nutritious bottom promotes growth, but the plant needs pruning to prevent it depriving plants underneath of light. Echinodorus bleheri does well even in poorly illuminated aquariums, as it grows towards the light. It is a hardy and easy solitary plant for both beginners and the more experienced with quite large aquariums.

    Amazon Sword- Healthy

Posted by Dave B on May 24th 2020

I ordered 2 of these and a Ruffle Sword, and they showed up a nice size (probably 6-8 inches) and very healthy, and I've had I think no leaves melt off at all. Great quality.

purchased 5 of these for my 150 gallon tank, they had great color and I hope they grow tall, little small for my liking but overall I think I will be pleased.

    ordered 3 and got 5

These have all put out a new leaf after only 2 days in the tank and I see a start of another 1 on 3 of them. With these and the huge java fern mat I got I will need a bigger tank.
