Nice sized sword. This plant has already sent up a beautiful new leaf. The light color is stunning. It's going to be a big sword.

    Very Nice!

I ordered two of these plants each had good roots, good color, 7 to 9 leaves & 6 to 8 inches tall. These plants are much nicer looking & cheaper than what's sold at my local pet shop. Will be shopping here & I recommend this site to my friends.

Out of the 12 different species I ordered since May this would be easily for me in the top 5...The size they gave me for the 4 dollar plant I ordered was amazing...It has green/gold/reddish/orange shine about its leaves...I absolutely love it

    Watch Out for the Size

Posted by Ian Crockett on Oct 22nd 2010

These plants can get quite big. I ordered two over 8 months ago. One is now quite large and the other about the same size. Not sure as to the cause of the discrepancy... I have a 55 gallon aquarium and the larger one occupies the whole of one corner and nearly side of the tank. I ended up boxing it into the corner with driftwood to "control" the leaves, funneling them more up instead of out. I have also found that these guys to put out really impressive roots! Over all, good buy but be sure your aquarium is big enough!

I ordered 2 of these plants along with some others, and they have amazingly healthy root systems, and the leaves look great as well, but, there are only 4-5 leaves on each, I was kind of surprised. But I received great quality from all the other plants I ordered and am totally not worried.

Even in my african cichlid tank, this looks great. My tank is focused around the fish. No fancy CO2, lighting or substrate for plants. So i couldn't expect this plant to be as lush as it was when I received it. That said, it has beautiful red and green foliage even though it grows much lower in my tank. And my vicious herbivores seem to leave it alone. Worked much better for me than the Red Melon variety.
