Echinodorus 'Rubin' is a great red leafed sword plant variety for the aquarium. Echinodorus 'Rubin' has long slender red leaves that makes it an excellent choice for background areas of the aquarium. Plant Echinodorus 'Rubin' in small groups among the background of your aquarium to create clusters of red color.
It needs moderate light and a good substrate fertilizer. It makes a gorgeous addition to your aquarium...these are beautiful!

    Large and pretty

These plants have a beautiful red color in the large leaves. Highly recommend this plant if you have the space. My leaves are maybe 24" long, and they spread out over a large area. Mine does well in a low tech tank with low to moderate light and a once a week dose of Seachem Flourish.

    Red Rubin

This is a great, easy to grow sword with the right conditions: fine-grained substrate, deep (min 4 in+) substrate, bright light, fertilizer (pellets), laterite and CO2 injection. The leaves easily reach 18 in are a beautiful deep red almost burgundy color. Under less favorable conditions, the leaves are mostly green.
