Decent quality, extra long length but some dying blades

Posted by Unknown on Apr 23rd 2022

Received these vals and they were good bunches with long roots. Many of them were extra long, which worked out great for my 24" 60 gallon tank. Some of them had dying blades, up to 50% of the bunch, so I hope that I won't have any significant melt and new growth soon.

    Wonderful!

They came to me from Florida to California and they were in perfect shape. I put them in my tank right away. They had very little melt and are growing great. Well definitely come back for more.

    Happy with purchase...

Posted by Amanda on Oct 24th 2020

I think the transition was a little rough for this one... had to strip away about half of the leaves upon arrival. But the roots are healthy, lots of runners and new grass sprouts ready to go. It's been in its new home for about a week... some of the older grass is still melting away, but I think it'll bounce back just fine.

    mostly looks like cork val

Posted by David on Dec 18th 2011

A couple of the plants were quite straight (like the jungle val. pictured), the rest were twisted, but not to the extent pictured. They looked very much like my cork val. They did arrive healthy and after more than a month, they are growing well.

Excellent health & growth, but not tightly curled.

Posted by Complexity on Feb 11th 2009

I ordered some of these, and what I received did not look like Contortion Vals to me. The curling was loose, more like regular Spiralis vals. However, the plants themselves arrived in perfect health and has been growing like crazy! So I highly recommend them, just don't expect highly twisted plants.
